“I want adventure in the great wide somewhere! I want it more than I can tell!” – Belle

This sweet little baby girl. Six days new and completely adored by her parents. Their first baby. Baby Everly. Those sweet firsts are so special, right in the middle of those first sleepless nights.

I got to help with her first babywearing up. Pavo wraps are amazing. Daddy surprised her with this sweet wrap. Just like that she settled right in and fell asleep. Those little toes, fingers, and sweet sighs. Dark raven hair.  She was so alert and loved to look intently at each of them.  Grandma brought her Baptismal gown. This gown was worn by mom and her two aunts.

They will help her become whatever she wants.

Sweet Everly, I can’t wait to see your adventures.

Here are a few favorites!

Enjoy!

There is something truly amazing about those first few hours.

The quiet moments. Their little sounds. Meeting them for the first time.

Little man, we couldn’t love you more.

“love begins by taking care of the closest ones – the ones at home.” St. Teresa of Calcutta.

…Autumn D. | Senior Portrait | Dundee, MI…

“the beauty in a woman is seen in hear eyes…the doorway to her heart….walk with the knowledge that you are never alone…” Audrey Hepburn.

Autumn, you are stunning, kind, and bring joy to those around you.

This Britton-Deerfield 2016 senior has a smile and laughing eyes that light up a room. Her laugh is infectious. I asked her what she wanted to be. An oral surgeon. She is accepted into her choice, University of Detroit-Mercy’s Dentistry program.  You will do amazing.

…Sebastian D. | Senior Portrait | Dundee, MI…

Mr. Sebastian. I feel like anyone who wears a bow tie deserves that title. He told me that he didn’t really smile much. I called his bluff. A future physical therapist. This Class of 2016 Britton-Deerfield senior has quite the future in front of him.

It was very very cold out. He never complained once, even while carrying my bag. A gentleman. A musician. A card shark. Bow ties. The newsboy hat. His accessories were fantastic. He brought his ukulele and played some Adele on the piano.  These photos share just a glimpse of his personality.

Thank you, Sebastian.

…Scott + Kate & Family | Family Session | Belgrade, MT…

Five kids. Five adorable full of life kids. This family has one happy home. They have the most fantastic back yard. They are nestled in among six mountain ranges. Sacagawea Peak (Bridger Mountains) is right outside their back door. The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. The kids were super excited to show me their favorite part of the yard to take photos. The trees. The swings. By this bush. No, this spot is my favorite. Take a picture of me!

It rained every day we were there. I was thankful the sun peaked through the clouds and the mountains to give us a sunny and beautiful afternoon.

I might be extremely partial to this family as this is my big sister, her awesome husband, and their adorable brood. I love how each of the kid’s personalities show in the photos. One tends to be serious. One, goofy. You decide which is which ;).

While on our way to take photos outdoors, we had to stop a few times to play trains, read books, and build things. Boys. I may or may not have baited them with marshmallows. They were doubly excited as a birthday party was to follow.

The three bros are quite the entertainers.

The ladies have their daddy’s heart. Completely.

Oh. They just got a puppy. As sweet as can be Red/White Border Collie. She has no idea how fantastic her life will be.

The two little ladies will have such a friendship when they are older. I am thankful to have my older sister in my life. She has been there so many times for me. From being chased up the barn roof by a rooster as a little kid, giggling late at night, (don’t worry…we had fights;))… to countless hours chatting while turning hay bales, and now peppering her with questions about babies/kids. She has and will continue to be there for me. Some days I pretend we still live right next to each other. Sisters are the best of friends. These girls are so very lucky.

Here are some of my favorites.

This year, we decided on a frosted rice krispie “cake” that was decorated with his stuffed puppy. I traced on the image and he decorated it himself. He was so proud!

…Miss G | 9 Month Baby Shoot | Temperance, MI…

9moeyes (1 of 1)

Miss Gianna. 9 months old.

Likes: ME. I dare not be out of her sight. Her preference is to be in my arms at all times. Period. Sweets. Her men make her light up like no tomorrow. She is busy. Crawling is still her method of transportation. However, she has recently decided that standing for a few seconds might not be such a bad thing. She loves to pull up on just about anything. She feels that messes and dirt are crucial. Her love of dandelions has not dwindled. Due to the lack of availability, she has been known to branch out to clover flowers. Her face lights up when she does something new. Standing on her tip toes? Amazing. Clapping? Oh, yes. She loves to throw her arms up in the air (We say, “SO BIG!”).

Official Stats: 20 lbs. 29.5 in. She wears 24 month clothes consistently. 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom).

Says: Mumum. Daaada. (Arbitrarily)

Sleep. She still likes her naps at 9 and 1. Her morning nap is about 1.5 hours and the afternoon one is closer to 2.5 hours. Nighttime is a consistent 7-6 and typically wakes once.

Food. Not impressed. She will nibble on graham crackers, avocado, and yogurt. She did grab a piece of steak of my plate and refused to release it. I was proud.

Nicknames. We are working on curbing those. Gabe has just recently realized that she has a given name.

Her hair is soooo fair right now. It is hard to believe that it was once almost raven colored. Her eyes are still a brilliant blue. Her little legs are very tan from hours chasing dandelions and swinging. She recently donned her first pair of shorts (dresses were slowing her down too much!!) and my heart skipped a beat. Little baby calves. Adorable. I looked down at her legs the other day and they no longer look like baby legs.

You are such a blessing, my dear.

…Esther’s Baptism | Sacramental Photography Midland, MI…

I witnessed a beautiful Rite, the Sacrament of Baptism, this weekend. It was a private Ceremony, held at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Midland, Michigan. There were many beautiful and unique details that made very special, indeed.

The Priest is little Esther’s Uncle.

The water used during the rite was from the Jordan River.

The Baptismal gown was sewn by her great great grandmother.

Her Gaga (great grandmother) was able to be present.

It was particularly special for me, as my husband and I are her Godparents.

Here are some of my favorites from that morning.

I just loved this beautiful little gown. It was simple and perfect. Her grandmother recently found the gown while cleaning out her attic. Her grandmother and great Aunt Mary wore this same gown. Beautifully rows of perfect lace.

These two photos of the ceremony were graciously taken by her Aunt (as I was in the ceremony). Her Uncle, Father Eddie, is blessing the water and then Baptizing her while she is held by her Godmother.baptism (1 of 1)-26baptism (1 of 1)-27baptism (1 of 1)-19
